This is a recipe from AllRecipes that my sister has been raving about.
I changed the recipe a bit. Changes: added a bit of poultry seasoning (a mix of marjoram, sage, and some other spices–about 1/2 tsp.). Other additions: a pinch of Lawry’s seasoning and a Tbl. Worchestershire sauce. I found that recipe needed more water (and maybe less barley) than called for in the recipe. My sister says that boxed broth makes this recipe fabulous, but I went with water and just increased the vegetables and the seasoning, and the soup was delicious.
